Autism Spectrum Disorder

In this episode we discuss two popular TV shows (The Good Doctor and Atypical) that each feature main characters with autism, or autism spectrum disorder (ASD). We also discuss how and why the number of people diagnosed with ASD has risen steadily in the United States since researchers first began tracking it in 2000.

Also included in the show are ways you can volunteer or donate to a great autism organization called Our Village! We interviewed the founder of Our Village, Monica Fyfe to learn more about social skills programs that help people with ASD.
